Nirmala Theological College is an institution intended to impart theological formation to women religious of the Eparchy of Kanjirapally. The College was established in 1981 by Mar Joseph Powathil, the first Bishop of the Eparchy. It was his ecclesial zeal that prompted him to initiate an institute of this kind in the Eparchy which has become a model for other Eparchies also. The Patron of this College is the Bishop of Kanjirapally.
The College provides courses mainly for Aspirants and Postulants of religious congregations in the Eparchy. The courses are designed to help the young religious to fully integrate with the ecclesial identity of the Syro-Malabar Church.

Sacred Scripture, Liturgy, Church History, Patrology, Ecclesiology, Sacraments, Moal Theology, Theology of Religious Life, Spiritual Theology. Christology, canon Law, Varthamanapusthakam, Eastern Monasticism, Mariaology of the Eastern Syriac Church, Psychology, Computer Applications etc. Ample opportunities are provided to develop their language skills in English and Malayalam.
